Highlander serves as a catalyst for grassroots organizing and movement building in Appalachia and the South, working with people fighting for justice, equality and sustainability, supporting their efforts to take collective action to shape their own destiny.

Movement Voter Fund supports grassroots movements working to expand multiracial democracy by building power in Black, Latinx, AAPI, Native, immigrant, LGBTQ+, Muslim, and other communities.

Right To The City Alliance works to halt the displacement of low-income, Black, Indigenous, and people of color, LGBTQ communities, and youth of color and protect and expand affordable housing in tandem with a broader movement to build democratic, just, and sustainable communities.

The Southern Movement Assembly addresses the region’s biggest systemic challenges through organizing and asserting bottom-up people power to build shared power, expand democracy, and protect frontline communities from violence in all its forms.
